The historical Vespa register was formed 1998, within the Vespa club Austria, after a Registro Storico Vespa was established in Italy in 1980.
The targets of the Register Storico Austria are:

• Protection the technical, historical and cultural fortune of the Vespa.

• Meeting of and for collectors, fans and friends, assistance with the restoration and purchase of spare parts.

• Organization of exhibitions and meetings.

• Contact to other collectors and Registers and similar organisations.

The basic condition for an entry is a membership of the owner in an association, which is attached the roof federation of the official Vespa club, the Vespa club Austria. The register is open for Vespa models which were produced by the company Piaggio or under the license by Piaggio between 1946 and 1981.
Who wants to let register his/her Vespa, has to fill out a request form and send it to our club or Registro Storico secretary. If the vehicle does not admit to the officials, then takes place an investigation suburb or with certain Vespa-meetings. The commission has to proof the vehicle about it's in original condition and the model own characteristics. Special attention is put on the attachments (taillight, headlight, seats...) and the lacquer finish.
In case of a permission a vehicle pass with photo, data and classification is presented to the applicant. Further she/he receives a plaque with sequential number, which must be installed onto the Vespa.
